The Name
Throughout our journey as business owners, we often heard potential investors ask, “Do you have traction?” But we knew the real question should be, “The thing is, do you have Product-Market Fit?” This phrase became a recurring theme in our conversations with investors and clients. When we decided to build this platform, naming it “The Thing Is” felt like the natural choice—because every startup’s journey starts with asking the right question.
Our Story
As seasoned business owners with experience across various industries, we’ve seen firsthand the challenges founders face. With backgrounds in IT, we’ve built and implemented systems, apps, and strategies that consistently delivered results.
We realized the strategies we used—surveying, analyzing, and iterating—could benefit other startups, too. By formalizing these methods into a comprehensive platform, we aim to help founders address the root causes of startup failure.
